Blood sugar tests may be used to check for diabetes and to see how treatment for diabetes is working.</p><p data-fingerprint="6a2ce076" data-fingerprint-exact="4d011986">Diabetes may be diagnosed if the 2-hour postprandial blood sugar level is higher than normal for a person's age.
